Sneak Peek: About the ADP Workforce Now API Integration *Coming Soon*

Note: The integration described in this article has not been completed yet and is therefore subject to change. This functionality is planned to be released in June 2018.


We know that keeping your payroll system up to date and in sync can be difficult and time-consuming if you don’t have the right tools available. With Maxwell’s API integration with ADP Workforce Now, all benefit deductions will seamlessly sync over from Maxwell to ADP. Here’s some more about why, as a busy HR professional, you’ll love this integration:

  • You’ll be completely “hands-off” when it comes to getting payroll deductions and associated product information directly to ADP. The integration will run continuously in the background, and data will sync over automatically and reliably in near real-time as changes are made in Maxwell.

  • Integration setup will be entirely in your control, with Maxwell guiding you through the process step-by-step. Just a few simple steps and you’ll be off and running:
    • Step One: You’ll get started by generating a code in your Maxwell portal, which you’ll then enter into ADP.

    • Step Two: You’ll return to Maxwell, where you’ll map employees to make sure everything is lined up 1:1. You’ll also be able to block any employees whose deductions you don’t want to sync over to ADP.



    • Step Three: You’ll enter the product deduction codes, which are set up at the product level, but can be overridden at a more granular level if needed based on attributes like state, coverage level, and eligibility group.



    • Step Four: Once employees are mapped and deduction codes are entered, you’ll run a discrepancy report to identify any mismatches in deduction amounts upfront. Once you confirm all the information matches up, you’ll be ready to turn on the integration and start syncing!



  • While the integration runs continuously in the background, you’ll have full transparency into sync activity through an interactive integration dashboard right in the HR experience. This will provide a clear visualization of the employees and products connected with ADP, as well as real-time transmission activity.


Note: The integration will cost the standard $2 PEPM (per employee per month) fee that ADP charges. There are no additional fees.
